Heidi Burch

Heidi Burch has worked for more than 20 years in the fields of fluoropolymer and polymer processing research and development. Some of her career highlights include:

• Developing and commercializing Corian with Resilence, a novel Corian solid surface material with greatly increased scratch resistance
• Developing and teaching a course in fundamental polymer science and engineering for DuPont staff 
• Developing a method of rheologically modifying melt-processible perfluoropolymers

Burch is an adjunct professor in the University of Delaware Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. She enjoys science and engineering outreach to children and has developed curricula for DuPont's Kids to Work Days.
