Rachel Layman

Rachel has served in the Department of Chemical Engineering since 2023, managing the department’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to support researcher safety and ensure regulatory compliance.

Throughout her career, she has held EHS compliance and consulting roles in industry, research and development, government, and higher education. Rachel maintains several professional credentials, including Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), and Certified Chemical Hygiene Officer (CCHO).
